After completing his Roofing Apprenticeship with a large commercial outfit in Hamilton in 2014, Lee McKinstry became a registered LBP holder and started as a sole contractor in 2016, leading to the establishment of McKinstry Roofing Ltd here in Taupo in early 2022.

Working alongside Lee is his partner Shannon, with a NZDipBus and a BA(Psychology), she manages all things people. At home with their two little children, Shannon is the first point of contact for plans, pricing, contracts, Health & Safety and all things logistical.
